Ingredients
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 c brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c butter
- 2 1/2 c flour
- 1 c milk
- 1 c california figs (dried)
- 1/2 c walnuts for tart shells (finely chopped)
- 1/4 c sugar
- 3 tb water
- 2 tb flour
- 1 ts vanilla
- 1 ts cinnamon
- 1 ts lemon peel (grated)
- 1/2 ts nutmeg
until filling is bubbly. Makes about 2 dozen tarts of muffin-cup size.
