Ingredients
- 2 leeks
- 1 potato
- 3/4 pint with water
- 8 oz pearl barley
- 8 oz shallots
- 6 oz carrots
- 6 oz button mushrooms
- 2 ts sunflower oil
- 1 ts yeast extract
- 2 ts thyme (chopped fresh)
- 2 ts rosemary (chopped fresh)
- 1 slice salt and pepper
vegetables together with the yeast extract. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Season to taste. Serve hot.
