Ingredients
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 bay leaf crumbled
- 1,400 ml broiler fryer chicken up (cut)
- 600 ml chicken broth
- 240 gr green peas (frozen thawed)
- 120 gr regular rice (uncooked)
- 3 gr garlic salt
- 2 gr salt
- 1 gr paprika
- 1 gr pepper
- 1 gr oregano leaves (dried)
- 1 gr turmeric (ground)
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place chicken, skin sides up, in ungreased rectangular baking dish, 13 x 9 x 5 cm. Sprinkle with salt, paprika, and pepper. Bake uncovered 30 minutes. Heat broth to boiling. Remove chicken and drain fat from dish. Mix broth, rice, onion, garlic salt, oregano, turmeric, bay leaf, and green peas in baking dish. Top with chicken; cover with aluminum foil. Cook in oven until rice and thickest pieces of chicken are done and liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes.
