Ingredients
- 1 1/2 bread croutons (toasted)
- 1 clove garlic
- 130 gr romaine lettuce leaves torn
- 60 ml olive oil
- 45 ml mayonnaise (light)
- 30 ml wine vinegar (red)
- 30 ml water
- 16 ml dijon mustard
- 16 ml lemon juice
- 5 gr parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 ml pepper sauce (hot)
- 1 ml worcestershire sauce
Whisk together mayonnaise, garlic, vinegar, mustard, lemon juice, hot pepper sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Gradually whisk in olive oil and water until blended and smooth. Place torn lettuce, croutons and cheese in large salad bowl. Toss with one third cup salad dressing (about half of dressing). Refrigerate remaining dressing for a second salad. For single serving of salad, use about 1 cup lettuce, quarter cup croutons, 1 tb salad dressing and 1 ts Parmesan cheese. Makes 6 servings and two third cup salad dressing, preparation 15 min
