Ingredients
- 30 walnut (halves)
- 1 egg
- 1 frosting
- 475 gr quick cook oats
- 280 gr brown sugar (light)
- 170 gr butter flavor crisco
- 130 gr flour
- 120 gr walnuts
- 80 ml milk
- 7 gr vanilla
- 2 gr baking soda
- 1 gr maple flavoring
- 1 gr salt
- 1 gr cinnamon
Heat oven to 190ºC Grease baking sheets with butter-flavor Crisco. Combine Crisco, light brown sugar, egg, milk, vanilla and maple flavoring in a large bowl. Beat at medium spped of electric mixer until well blended. Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed just until blended. Stir in nuts. Drop by rounded tbls of dough 5 cm apart on prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to kitchen counter. Frost top with frosting mixture and garnish with a walnut half. FROSTING: Mix vanilla frosting with maple flavoring to your desired taste. ----
