Ingredients
- 6 onions
- 3 bacon drippings
- 1 egg
- 1 accent
- 400 gr round steak
- 120 gr breadcrumbs
- 120 ml water
- 80 ml milk
- 20 gr parmesan cheese
- 4 gr salt
- 1 gr paprika
- 1 gr pepper
- 1 gr oregano
Trim excess fat from steak; pound to 1 cm thickness. Cut steak into serving size pieces. Combine egg and milk; beat well. Combine breadcrumbs, 1 ts. salt, pepper, and Ac'cent. Dip steak in egg mixture, dredge in breadcrumb mixture, and brown in bacon drippings. Place steak in a lightly greased 2 litre baking dish. Add water and sprinkle with oregano and cheese. Add onions to steak; sprinkle with quarter teaspoon salt and paprika. Cover tightly and bake at 160ÂșC or 1 hour and 15 minutes or until tender. SOURCE: Southern Living Magazine, sometime in 1980.
