Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 tart apples
- 450 gr all purpose flour
- 240 ml molasses
- 100 gr sugar
- 95 gr shortening
- 80 ml boiling water
- 16 ml lemon juice
- 9 gr baking soda
- 3 gr cinnamon
- 2 gr ginger
- 1 gr salt
-and finely chopped Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg. Stir in molasses and lemon juice; blend well. Sift together dry indredients; add to creamed mixture. Stir in boiling water; mix well. Add chopped apples; mix. Chill thoroughly. Drop by teaspoons on greased baking sheets. Bake in 180ÂșC oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
