Ingredients
- 8 3/4 onions (chopped)
- 8 3/4 cans stewed tomatoes (chopped)
- 8 3/4 cans kidney beans (red)
- 4 3/8 cans green chili peppers undrained
- 2,400 gr chili meat
- 1,900 ml tomato sauce
- 500 ml ketchup
- 120 ml olive oil
- 65 gr chili powder
- 3 gr pepper
Saute the onions in olive oil. Add chili meat. Cook til lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Drain fat.
Stir in tomatoes, green chilies, tomato sauce, ketchup, chili powder, salt and pepper to meat mixture. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Partially drain kidney beans and add to chili. Simmer 15 minutes longer.
Serve with cornbread.
