- 2 1/2 onions
- 2 shallots
- 1/2 bottle burgundy wine
- 1/2 remaining beef
- 2 lb rump roast
- 1 1/2 c carrots
- 1/2 lb mushrooms
- 2 tb salad
- 2 slices fatback
- some garlic
- some black pepper

cover and lower the heat. Cook 3 1/2 hours. While the casserole is cooking the liquid should barely bubble.
