Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c semi-sweet chocolate bits
- 3/4 c sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 c flour
- 3/8 c butter
- 3/8 cup butter until (light)
- 1/2 c dates (chopped)
- 1/4 c boiling water
- 1/4 cup boiling water over dates (chopped)
- 1/4 c nuts
- 2 t unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 t baking powder
- 1/4 t salt
until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Let cool in cake pan 10 minutes
