Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 3 c quaker oats
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate (pieces)
- 1 1/4 c margarine
- 1 1/2 c all purpose flour
- 3/4 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c granulated sugar
- 3/4 c nuts (chopped)
- 1 ts baking soda
- 1 ts vanilla
- 1 ts salt
Heat oven to 375 F. Beat together margarine and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to margarine mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats, chocolate pieces and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 11 minutes. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
