Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 pitted prunes
- 400 gr sifted powdered sugar
- 325 gr flour
- 240 ml buttermilk
- 200 gr sugar
- 160 ml oil
- 85 gr corn syrup (light)
- 60 ml boiling water
- 60 ml water
- 50 gr shortening
- 45 gr cocoa powder
- 16 gr cocoa
- 12 gr unsweetened cocoa powder
- 9 gr baking powder
- 7 gr baking soda
- 6 gr vanilla
- 5 gr cinnamon (ground)
- 4 gr salt
- 4 gr vanilla in
- 3 gr salt
bowl. Add eggs and beat well 2 minutes. Combine soaked prunes and buttermilk in blender or food processor and chop finely. Add to creamed mixture with flour, soda and baking powder. Beat well and turn into well-greased and floured 13x 23 cm baking pan or 2 (8-in.) round pans. Bake at 180ÂșC 30 minutes, or until wood pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool. To make frosting, bring water to boil. Remove from heat and beat in shortening and corn syrup. Add powdered sugar, half cup cocoa, quarter teaspoon salt and half teaspoon vanilla and cream well to spreading consistency. Use to frost cooled cake.
