Ingredients
- 3 garlic (cloves)
- 1 wheat bread (sliced)
- 1 egg (white)
- 1 flour
- 525 gr garbanzo beans
- 80 ml water
- 14 gr tahini
- 8 gr unbleached all-purpose flour
- 3 gr parsley
- 2 gr baking soda
- 1 gr salt
- 1 gr black pepper
- 1 gr cumin
- 1 gr turmeric
- 1 gr basil
- 1 gr marjoram
Puree the garbanzos in a food processor or in a blender. Add the remaining ingredients, except the flour and mix well. The mixture will be soft. Form the mixture into 3 cm balls or patties and coat with flour. Bake in a preheated 180ºC oven for 15 to 20 minutes. To make a falafel sandwich, cut a piece of pita bread in half and put 2 to -20ºC alafel balls or patties into the open halves. Add lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, sliced tomatoes, green onions and low-fat Yogurt Dressing or Tahini Dressing.
