Ingredients
- 2 garlic (cloves)
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 pot barley
- 3,800 ml water
- 300 gr potatoes
- 280 gr chicken
- 270 gr coarsely cabbage (chopped)
- 250 gr mixed vegetables
- 130 gr tomato paste
- 130 gr carrots
- 75 gr celery
- 65 gr green pepper
- 50 gr macaroni
- 30 ml canola oil
- 1 gr sweet basil
In a soup pot saute the celery, onion and garlic in oil for 5 minutes. Add water, vegetables, pot barley, meats, seasonings. Bring to the boil and simmer for 1.25 hours. For last quarter hour add cabbage and macaroni. * Soup mix from Fillmore, Sask. Lindsey Jones, F-Intercook ----
