Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 240 ml honey
- 130 gr all purpose flour
- 30 ml orange juice (fresh)
- 28 gr butter
- 8 gr all purpose flour
- 5 gr baking powder
- 4 gr orange peel (grated)
- 3 gr cinnamon (ground)
- 1 gr baking soda
- 1 gr salt
- 1 slice pear such as
Arrange pear slices in bottom of a greased 23 cm pie pan. Sprinkle with flour, orange peel and cinnamon; drizzle evenly with honey.
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; mix well. In a small bowl, combine honey, egg, butter and orange juice; mix well. Add to flour mixture, stirring until just blended. Spread mixture evenly over pears. Bake at 190ÂșC for 30 to 35 minutes or until browned. Let cool 5 minutes on wire rack; invert onto platter. Serve warm.
[Serves 8] Note: For kosher kitchen, always use certified kosher products. Suitable for Rosh Hashanah.
