Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 700 gr semisweet chocolate morsels
- 375 gr flour
- 270 gr pecans (chopped)
- 270 gr sugar
- 220 gr brown sugar
- 190 gr shortening
- 110 gr butter
- 80 gr rolled oats (uncooked)
- 14 gr vanilla
- 9 gr baking soda
- 6 gr salt
- 5 ml lemon juice
- 3 gr cinnamon
Cream shortening, butter and sugars in large mixer bowl until thoroughly blended, about 5 minutes at high speed. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla and lemon juice. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture and beat until well blended. Mix in chocolate morsels and pecans. Drop dough by scant quarter cup on lightly greased cookie sheet about 8 cm apart. Bake at 180ÂșC for about 15 minutes. Leave cookies on sheet about 30 seconds, then put on wire rack to cool. Makes about 36.
