- 16 extra wide lasagna noodles
- 13 in casserole dish
- 4 garlic (cloves)
- 2 more times till gone
- 1 1/2 onion (red)
- 3/8 sauce
- 3/8 ricotta
- 3/8 mozzarella
- 24 oz tomato sauce by machine (sliced)
- 1 lb beef (lean ground)
- 1 lb sweet italian sausage
- 1 lb low-fat ricotta cheese
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1/2 c water
- 1/2 c dry wine (red)
- 1 c parmesan cheese (shredded)
- 1 t oregano
- 1/2 t black pepper
- some salt if you are a salt lover
One of my favorites, as well as mom's. Freezes well and is great on a cold winter night when you want something warm and hearty but don't feel like cooking. Serve with hot sour dough garlic french bread and a tossed green salad. -----
