Ingredients
- 3 on prepared cookie sheet (inches apart)
- 1 balls
- 1/8 thickness
- 3 c old fashioned oats (uncooked)
- 1 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c all purpose flour
- 3/4 c vegetable shortening
- 3/8 c milk
- 1 1/2 ts vanilla
- 1 ts lemon juice
- 3/4 ts baking soda
- 1/2 ts salt
Bake 8-10 minutes until set and lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheet(s) on wire rack 45-60 seconds, just until firm enough to handle, then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
