- 1 egg
- 1/4 thickness on floured surface (lightly)
- 250 gr all purpose flour
- 170 gr brown sugar (light)
- 110 gr butter
- 40 gr seedless raspberry jam
- 4 gr vanilla extract
- 2 gr baking powder
- 1 gr salt
red food coloring into half dough; after chilling, roll plain and colored dough by heaping teaspoonsful into 15 cm-long ropes. Twist ropes together by twos to form candy canes. Brush lightly with beaten egg white; sprinkle with pink sugar crystals. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 8 dozen. ----
