Ingredients
- 4 filo pastry sheets
- 1 egg
- 240 ml honey
- 240 ml water
- 200 gr sugar
- 120 gr almonds (toasted sliced)
- 110 gr melted butter
- 55 gr butter stacking sheets on a chopping board
- 50 gr sugar
- 16 ml lemon juice
- 4 gr cinnamon (ground)
- 2 gr orange peel
- 2 gr orange peel
- 1 gr salt
- 1 gr cinnamon (ground)
- 8 packages portions
Combine honey, sugar, water, orange peel, and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Simmer 20 minutes. Stir in lemon juice just before pouring over pastry. Makes 8 servings.
