- 4 eggs
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tn carnation milk
- 1 egg
- 475 ml fluid milk
- 130 gr tin of tuna
- 120 gr sugar
- 120 gr mixed vegetables (frozen)
- 110 gr margarine melted
- 45 gr flour (plain)
- 34 gr dessicated coconut
- 30 ml sour cream
- 16 gr cheese (grated)
- 9 gr vanilla essence
- 3 gr parsley (chopped)
- 1 gr baking powder
The beauty of this wartime pie from South London is that it is unbelievably easy and foolproof, provides a delicious meal from whatever is in the cupboard and can be used for either a main course or pudding. Method: Preheat oven to Gas Mark 5, 190ÂșC , 190C. In a large bowl beat together the eggs, milk, flour, baking powder, salt and margarine. Stir in the chosen filling to make either a sweet or savoury pie. Pour the mixture into a lightly greased 25 cm pie plate and bake in a preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until set. Recipe By : ----
