- 12 cast iron skille place the skillet in the oven to melt the butter
- 1 c cream (heavy)
- 5/8 cup molasses
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 c dark brown sugar
- 1 3/8 c all purpose flour
- 5/8 c milk
- 1/2 c sour cream
- 8 tb butter (unsalted)
- 2 tablespoons molasses in
- 1/4 c pine nuts
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 t unsulphered molasses
- 1 ts baking powder
- 2 ts ginger (ground)
- 1/2 ts vanilla extract
- 1/4 ts allspice (ground)
- 1/4 ts cinnamon (ground)
- 1/2 ts coarsely pepper (ground)
- 1/2 ts salt
- 1/4 ts baking soda
continue beating until stiff. Serve the cake warm from the skillet. Pass the whipped cream separately.
