- 2 1/2 c all purpose flour
- 1 1/4 c milk
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 1 1/8 cup water (cold)
- 3/4 c butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 1/2 ts baking powder
- 1 1/2 ts vanilla
- 1 teaspoon sal to creamed mixture alternately with the milk
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel (grated)
- 2 dash corn syrup (light)
- 2 dash cornstarch
teaspoon vanilla. Beat about 2 minutes more or till spreading consistency. Spread on cake at once. ----
