- 2 on prepared baking shee bake until brown on edges (inches apart light)
- 1 egg
- 1 milk food coloring as desired
- 1/2 dough on floured surface to almost (lightly)
- 700 gr confectioners sugar
- 325 gr flour
- 130 gr softened butter (unsalted)
- 230 ml cream cheese
- 5 gr vanilla
- 5 gr baking soda
- 5 ml cream of tartar
- 1 gr almond extract
Second place went to Nancy Rullo, of Bloomingdale, for her recipe for Mom's sugar cookies in the shape of Santa Claus faces, iced with a cream cheese frosting and decorated in traditional holiday colors. The recipe, Rullo wrote, was one that her mother had found in her mother's first cookbook.
