Ingredients
- 6 pepper sauce (hot)
- 1 1/4 biscuit mix
- 350 ml vegetable juice cocktail
- 300 gr potatoes
- 280 gr beans
- 280 gr chicken
- 400 ml broth
- 160 ml milk
- 120 gr american cheese
- 60 gr onion
- 50 gr celery
- 40 gr cornmeal
- 3 gr chili powder
- 3 gr parsley
- 1 gr salt
Transfer beans to crockpot. Add chicken, potatoes, chicken broth, vegetable juice, celery, onion, chili powder, salt and hot pepper sauce, mixed together.
Cover. Cook on Low for 4 hours. Turn to High and heat until bubbly. Add water at this point if needed.
Combine biscuit mix, cornmeal, half cup cheese and parsley. Add milk and stir until just moistened. Drop by tablespoons onto stew; cover. Cook 2.5 hours more (don't lift cover). Sprinkle dumplings with rest of cheese.
