Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 macadamia nut bits
- 300 gr quick oats
- 240 gr semi-sweet chocolate (pieces)
- 230 gr butter-flavored shortening
- 190 gr flour
- 170 gr brown sugar
- 150 gr sugar
- 80 gr coconut (shredded)
- 5 gr baking powder
- 5 gr baking soda
- 4 gr vanilla
- 1 gr salt
Preheat electric oven to 160ºC . In large bowl of electric mixer, cream shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into creamed mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients. Shape into 1- half inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in flour. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 3 dozen large cookies.
