Ingredients
- 9 pie (pan)
- 9 peaches
- 1 lemon zest from the lemon
- 1 lemon
- 2 c flour
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 14 tb butter
- 1 cup flour
- 6 tb butter until crumbly
- 1/2 c almonds
- 4 tablespoon ice water
- 2 tb shortening
- 3 tb cornstarch
- 1 tb juice
- 2 tb dry bread crumbs
- 1 ts salt
- 1 1/4 ts nutmeg
- 1/4 ts nutme in remaining (cut)
- 1/2 ts sal in (cut)
- 1/4 ts almond extract
zest and juice, cornstarch and almond extract. Sprinkle bread crumbs over bottom of pie shell and fill with peach mixture. Sprinkle almond crumb mixture on top. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350. Continue baking until top is browned and fruit juices are bubbling, 50 to 55 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
