- 6 c brown rice (cooked)
- 1 lb pinto beans (dried)
- 2 c onion (chopped yellow)
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 c green bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 c green onions (chopped)
- 1 tb worcestershire sauce
- 1 ts celery flakes
- 3/4 ts black pepper (ground)
- 3 ds tabasco sauce
- 1/4 ts thyme
- 1/2 ts salt
- 1/4 ts cayenne pepper (red)
- 1/2 ts garlic (minced)
- 1/4 ts oregano
I got this recipe from the January 94 issue of Shape magazine, in an article about the Cooper Clinic (I believe it's in Texas).
