Ingredients
- 6 cardamom pods
- 2 green chilies
- 2 garlic (cloves)
- 1 onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 caraway seed
- 4 c water
- 2 c basmati rice
- 12 oz tomatoes
- 5 t corn oil
- 1 t sal if the mixture is dry
- 1 1/2 t turmeric
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t chile powder
- 1/2 t cumin seed
- 1/2 t coriander seed
- 1/4 t fenugreek seed
- 1/4 t aniseed
cook the meat and sauce to order. Plain yoghurt may be substituted for the tomatoes if preferred. * Experiment with the seasonings.
