Ingredients
- 2 garlic (cloves)
- 2 tamari
- 1 onion
- 1 green pepper
- 240 ml water
- 170 gr tempeh
- 100 gr tomato paste
- 45 ml molasses
- 45 ml vegetable oil
- 30 ml cider vinegar
- 30 ml lemon juice
- 16 gr mustard powder
- 6 gr fennel
- 3 gr chili powder
- 2 gr cumin
- 2 gr coriander
- 2 ml tobasco sauce
- 1 gr cayenne pepper
Saute onions, garlic & spices till onions soften. Add peppers & tempeh chunks & continue to saute for 5 minutes or so. Transfer to a shallow baking pan. Whisk together the sauce ingredients (tamari, lemon juice, molasses, vinegar, mustard, paste & water). Add to the vegetables. Bake for 30 minutes at 180ÂșC for 30 minutes covered & then for 30 minutes uncovered. Stir frequently throughout. Serve on rice with coleslaw or stuff into pita. Source Unknown
