- 2 c sugar
- 3 c all purpose flour
- 3/4 c margarine
- 1/2 c apricots (dried)
- 1/2 c apricot nectar
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 oz dates
- 1/2 c nuts
- 1/4 c lemon juice
- 1 tb lemon peel
- 1 ts baking powder
- 1 ts lemon peel
- 1/2 ts salt
Spread 1 teaspoon filling on half of each piece; fold over and use floured fork to seal edges firmly. Prick tops in one or two places. Bake in preheated 375-degree oven for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned. Do not overcook. Continue with remaining dough, greasing cookie sheet each time. ----
