- 9 cake pans
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 chocolate mixture
- 4 1/2 c confectioners sugar
- 1 3/4 c boiling water
- 1 3/4 c packed dark brown sugar
- 10 oz semisweet chocolate
- 2 c sifter cake flour
- 2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
- 10 oz butter (unsalted)
- 1/2 c cream (heavy)
- 4 ts vanilla
- 2 tb butter (unsalted)
- 2 t milk
- 2 ts baking soda
- 2 t butter (unsalted)
- 1/4 ts salt
second layer of cake and frost the sides, and then the top. Decoratively pipe frosting around the base and top edges of the cake.
