- 950 ml saucepan over low heat
- 300 gr sugar
- 300 ml buttermilk
- 240 ml cream (heavy)
- 250 gr cake flour
- 240 ml evaporated milk
- 240 gr walnuts
- 160 gr unsweetened chocolate
- 120 gr flaked coconut
- 110 gr butter
- 110 gr brown sugar
- 95 gr shortening
- 8 gr vanilla
- 7 gr baking soda
- 3 gr salt
- 2 gr baking powder
another cake layer; spread w/ remaining filling. Top w/ last layer ; spread w/ remaining cream. Filling: In 3 litre saucepan over med. heat, heat 1 c. evaporated milk, half c. packed br. sugar, half c.butter, 2 oz. unsweet. choc. & 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten, until choc. melts & mixture will coat a spoon, about 10 min., stirring often (don't bring to a boilor it will curdle). Remove from heat;stir in 2 c. chopped walnuts & 1 tsp. vanilla. Cool until thick enough to spread, stirring occasionally. Rose Nape ----
