- 4 c all purpose flour
- 4 c walnuts
- 2 c brandy
- 1 lb butter
- 3 cups flour with baking powder
- 1 c molasses
- 2 c golden raisins
- 2 c figs (dried)
- 2 c currants
- 1 c pitted dates
- 1 cup flour over fruit mixture
- 1/2 c orange liqueur
- 1/2 c candied ginger
- 1 tb baking powder
- 1 tb vanilla extract
- 1 ts baking soda
- 2 ts cinnamon
- 1 1/2 ts salt
- 1 ts allspice (ground)
- 1 ts mace
Cakes are done when a straw inserted in the center comes out clean. Makes 4 Cakes
